What are the cons of deploying a project with git?

I am newbie. I'm not familiar with the deployment topic.
Now I'm putting the project into production using git. And now this method suits me. But I would like to understand the disadvantages of this approach and the problems that I will face in the future. Perhaps it's better to get accustomed to another more suitable deploy tool right away?
What do you use to deploy your projects.

The deployment process is quite complex, and it usually has more than a dozen steps.
Updating the code is just one step. At least in most projects, you still need to build an application out of it. You don't even consider it.
