Online store, Ukraine. Added Ukrainian version. There was a need to translate product names, product descriptions, blog articles, etc. into Ukrainian.

Monthly volumes are small. I think up to 1 million characters.

Previously, they used Yandex to transfer for free, but this month they stopped free transfers, and the service is not available to residents of Ukraine.

Translated via API. In PHP, the store generates a request through the API to the service. Sends a string with text to be translated. Receives a response with a translation and writes it to the store's database.

I am looking for an affordable alternative for translating text with high-quality Russian-Ukrainian translation: regular string text and text with html markup (markup preservation).

Considering:

2. Microsoft Azure Translate ( https://azure.microsoft.com/en -us/pricing/details/... ) - I don't understand how it differs from point 1.

4. Google Translate API - $20 for 1 million characters
5. lingvanex.com - Belarusian company. Didn't find a price. Whether machine learning and neural networks are used is not clear.
6. PROMT Cloud API - $50 monthly fee (for the package with the Ukrainian language) even if you don't translate anything. 8 million characters per month as part of a monthly fee

Please advise sth. on the example of Russian-Ukrainian translation. It seems that, according to the logic, Promt or a Belarusian company should translate better, because the Slavs and languages ​​are similar. But on the other hand - who checked? Yandex was generally good, but of course he didn’t know the specific terminology and stupidly didn’t translate it at all - he inserted it into the Ukrainian text without translation into Russian. Again, Promt has some kind of inhumane tariff: you don’t transfer, but pay every month. Also, Ukrainian was included in the advanced package.

Amazon has the most attractive rates, but I have not yet found out whether they translate text while maintaining html formatting.

Google is a little more expensive.

Microsoft is traditionally scolded.

Previously, back in the late 90s, they used Ruta plaj. It seems that even then he gave an acceptable quality of translation - he coped with the translation of theses into Ukrainian.
I think writing a wrapper is not such a difficult task.
