What are the benefits of using postfix with a mailing list service like Mandrill for example?
Hello.
My story is this - I used a gmail account for a long time to send service messages from my site - set up ssmtp on a gmail account within 5 minutes using a tutorial from the net and calmly left this topic. (All hands did not reach to set up postfix)
But due to the rapid activity on the site, a lot of messages began to be generated and the gmail account was blocked (asks to enter captcha). I googled this question on the net - it turns out that this is a common problem and you can’t use google mail like this along the way.
I decided to switch to sending mail from my VPS using postfix. Like configured, checked, letters leave. Fine.
But here's the question -There are a lot of examples on the Internet of configuring postfix in combination with mailing list services, such as Mandrill for example. What are the advantages of using another link to send emails, if you can immediately send emails from postfix?

such services themselves monitor the reputation of their smtp servers and provide convenient statistics,
you can see which letters did not reach which ones
were identified as spam and other goodies
, and if your postfix got into the database spam, then you suck your paw with mandrills, everything is a little better
