What are the basic books on the study of iron, as well as programming algorithms?

I got into the field of programming (1C) after the institute, not in the specialty of a programmer, in fact, self-taught with what specifically 1C + applied areas. There is not much knowledge in programming as such. But now I'm honestly trying to catch up on lost knowledge, as well as to study other programming languages, and here I clearly lack many of the basics (stupid 1Sniki =)).
And I decided to start even with the knowledge of iron.
Closer to the point: Advise good books on hardware design, as well as on algorithms, and indeed any books / knowledge that a programmer / IT specialist must have.
Thanks in advance!

A completely pointless exercise in the current state of programming technology.
You need knowledge of iron only if you are a hunter tinkering with a soldering iron.
If you are talking about programming, then you only need to know about hardware how what kind of hardware is presented in the operating system where you are going to do this programming.

SICP + Kormen's algorithms. For iron, mb is
All 3 books are masterpieces, IMHO.

If you clicked on the "books" tag, you'd already have the answer.

For hardware - "Computer Architecture" by E. Tanenbaum, for algorithms - I don't know.
