What are the advantages of MySQL over PostgreSQL?

What are the advantages of MySQL over PostgreSQL?
Their capabilities are incomparable: PostgreSQL is orders of magnitude higher. Suffice it to mention arrays, sets or NoSQL (hstore, json(b)).
Their performance is about the same.
And only in terms of development tools (IDE) from third-party manufacturers, postgres is in the span, due to its low popularity.
Why does everyone choose MySQL?

MySql is neither better nor worse.
Some things she does faster, some things she doesn't.
For example: select is faster, insert is slower.
This all of course affects the speed when the site is very busy.

A bunch of existing applications - mysql only. Well, the entry threshold is lower - there are fewer opportunities and tricks, there are a lot of documentation in Russian (unlike postgres). A good choice for simple tasks.

3 extreme projects were done on postgresql, from what is not in mysql they used hstore and conditional indexes
also fell in love with this subd for a transactional change in the data schema - that is, if for example the migration failed for some reason, the database will not need to be restored by hand,
but the administration tools are miserable yes, as a result, I use ide (idea) tools for access

mysql is superior in popularity and now it seems like there is a more active development of it, there is a galley and perkona and madiyadb.
well, any hosting has a muscle, but there is no postgres.
