What are some good tools for keeping article pages clean?

So I want, for example, to save an article from the same Habrahabr for offline reading (perhaps even on an e-ink reader) and / or printout. I want to keep only the content area without the site header, sidebars, and all that. How to achieve this?
Previously, Firefox had a wonderful Aardvark extension that allowed you to select any element (much like it is done with inspect element) and remove it, or vice versa, leave only it and what is inside it, and delete the entire environment. It was just super helpful to clean the page before printing, but the latest version is dated 2010 and is not compatible with new versions of the browser. Is there something similar now? Better for Chrome, but for Firefox it will do, or for any other browser, or even a separate program, web service or code.
Thanks in advance.
