What are some good live blogging engines besides Wordpress?

Interested in engines for standalone blogs. Wordpress, in principle, suits everyone, but still heavy. I would like to try something alternative. Are there options that are lightweight and more or less alive, so that more than one and a half people of developers support it. So far I have found only MaxSite CMS and Textpattern, but the latter has not been updated for more than a year. Oh yes. The engine is needed in PHP, but not necessarily MySQL. It is possible and on text files or XML.

I myself use the same WordPress, but last year I tested Ghost . They are good, but at that time I was not ready to pay.
