What are network resources available for by default in Windows?
I can't figure out what network resources ADMIN$, C$, IPC$ are available for? As I understand it, they are available initially on Windows, but why? What is the purpose of these accesses? The only thing I understand is access for administrative accounts to this computer for other computers, but I don’t understand why it is needed by default? Isn't that a detriment to OS security?
An additional question - in the local network of an organization with hundreds of computers, is it worth disabling these accesses from ordinary computers?

Officially this is called " Administrative share ", in addition to "live" administrators, they can be used by different processes running from the admin account. Since you have a network of hundreds of computers, I will assume that it is a domain; after their removal, problems will arise in the domain network .
