What are MX records for?

What are MX records for? If they are removed, will something change?

I register corporate mail.

The MX records tell you which specific server you can push SMTP to for that domain.
Those. you have entries for the mydomain.com zone:
IN MX 10 postserver1
IN MX 20 postserver2
When a foreign mailer is going to send you mail for [email protected], it will first poke at the 25th (SMTP) port of postserver1.mydomain. com, and if it is not expected there, then on the 25th port of postserver2.mydomain.com...
And no one will even think to poke at the www.mydomain.com server, because there is no MX record for it :)

You not only mx records, you still need to do a car. I have a white IP and my own domain. Own mail server, IP telephony and more.
How much effort has been put into making emails go to Google. Read about DKIM. If interested, write to [email protected] I'll help.
