What application to draw tables?

Today I worked with PS for the first time, I needed to create a table. In PS, I was able to mark the table with lines, but this didn’t really give me anything, since I couldn’t adjust the size of the necessary images for insertion to the size of the allotted cell, I had to manually change the size, and then insert it all evenly, that is, all this can be it was possible to do it without a table, but you can’t do that, you need to do everything exactly. In short, where can I find lessons on drawing tables? You can do it in PS itself, or you can use other editors. The main thing is that the lesson shows how to insert objects in the center, resize to the required size and distribute the width and height equally (I learned to do this with lines). I apologize, maybe I didn’t understand something in the question, but why are office applications not suitable? Word, Excel? What functions are not in them that you started using FS?
Well, FS is really inconvenient for tables, unless you are the god of Photoshop and feel yourself in it like a fish in water.
