What analog of DBF is simple in implementation of the driver and widespread?
The widely used DBF format does not have a field type for storing integers and floating point in binary form.
I need to record signal values and time readings in an embedded (mk) project. Those. it is desirable to have a simple libdbf type driver that is easy to understand. Just writing to csv is too primitive. We need a record in binary form both for compactness and for ease of navigation through such a file. DBF would fit if you use field types 2, 4, 8, but they are not standard (widespread), and I would like to open files in Excel or something similar.
I figured out libdbf, it works, but, alas, I have no idea how it was used before. I need a normal double (float), not a textual representation of them.

Usually for embedded systems use SQLite https://sqlite.org/datatype3.html
