What about the idea for iron?
An interesting idea came to me today to create one piece of iron. There are already analogues, but they lack only one rather interesting function.
It seems to me that the idea is worthy of putting it on kickstarter.com.
There is just a snag. What will the sample creation process look like in general? I definitely can't do it myself. Is it possible to go somewhere to roughly calculate how much the production of a batch of devices will cost, in order to at least know how much to ask on kickstarter.com.
If there is something on the topic - I would be grateful for the link. And then basically they write about various services on kickstarter.com, about iron quite rarely.

There is such a company Promwad , represented on Habré by ashby . There are two interesting topics ( part 1 and part 2 ) that he wrote. Try to contact them. I don’t know what scale of production you are counting on, but you can try to find out at least how much it will cost to produce a small batch to start with.
I understand that you don't want to share your idea with everyone, but it's difficult to answer your questions about the cost of creating samples without clarification. It's one thing to try to fork arduino, another thing to fork IBM Watson. In any case, I can advise you to contact specialized communities that deal with such pieces of iron, they usually have the people you need
On the same freelance sites, there are specialists who are developing iron of such a plan.
If it's very rough, then the process is something like this:
1. Concept on paper
2. Concept on wires
2b. Programming (if relevant)
3. Then you can start looking for sponsors on kickstarter.com or similar sites.
Steps 1-2-2b can be repeated several times.
During the creation of the concept on the wires, there are usually already ideas how much it will cost and such a plan.
It would be cool to try to order a small batch, to polish the little things and more accurately determine the costs.
