What about the embed tag?

Here is the embed tag, its essence is clear - it is needed in order to display objects that the browser does not initially understand.
But it's not clear what kind of objects my browser cannot display, I have FireFox.
Where can I read about what objects are not displayed by FireFox, Chrome and other browsers?
I'm already tired of this question.

@petanisimov

The embed element represents an integration point ...
Reference to RFC 2616 (see clause 3.7) (media types) and RFC 2046 (mime types) that are appropriate for embed.
Media formats supported by Firefox .
Judging by the description, embedded is all elements except html (Google translated as: " application or interactive content ") :D and there can be anything, for example, if there is a 3d model from the cad, you must specify a link to download the plugin to this model so that it would work in your browser, and then when you open a page with an embed tag of a 3D model, you will immediately be asked to download the plugin in the machine if it is ff chrome opera).
This link has very good data about supportProtocols , Plugins and Image Formats (outdated but not found newer). You may also need the Html5test
test , in which a lot of things are tested, run under your ff and see all the features. Answer updated, I hope I provided everything that you were interested in).
