Weird problems with wifi
I don’t know where to write already, you have here the last hope.
There is an Acer TravelMate 5742G, it has two Windows, both 7, both 64 bits. On one of them, Wi-Fi periodically falls off. On the second, everything is fine (because I think it’s too early to sin on the network card), reinstalled the problematic one, completely reinstalled it, configured it - the same garbage. Tried different firewood - it's useless.
Here it would be possible to sin on the router, but at the moment when Wi-Fi falls off on the laptop, it is perfectly caught on the phone.
In general, I was already worn out and desperate. Any ideas where to dig?
Thank you please.

From Google answers, a similar problem: (I solved the problem by simultaneously changing the options for the communication channel settings, transmission power, (oddly enough) encryption protocols (security) ...
oh yes !!! and also updating the drivers for the WiFi device ... fresh router firmware too
There was a similar problem. Tell me, was µTorrent running when the connection was lost?
A banal question: is there anything in the system log that preceded the fall off?
Does it fall off randomly or at the same time (evening, morning, etc.)?
Is the IP received via DHCP or permanent?
As far as I understand, the Wi-Fi itself connects automatically, after falling off?
If everything is fine on the second OS, then the software remains (antivirus, firewall, etc.) - see what is the difference in these two OS
On the rights of shamanism.
Try LIiveCD with some Linux. If your chip is supported by the kernel, i.e. wifi will start out of the
box if the problem has disappeared, then the reason is in the software.
