Today all of a sudden this happened . I searched on Google and found that someone has already come across a similar one here . Is there anyone who knows where this might come from? I sin on the MailTab for gmail app .

look at which programs have access to growl, if you constantly get ads, turn off one at a time and find

Disable applications access to Growl and enable one at a time. As far as I remember, Tweetie for Mac without registration also did this.
