Website rebuilding on InstantCMS or CMS change

Good afternoon. I apologize for the most user-friendly question, but ...
Our educational institution decided to make its own website. They entrusted me (as the head of the Informatics laboratory).
I chose InstantCMS as the engine. (perhaps it was a mistake). The social nature of CMS attracted me. but it is not yet possible to establish interaction between teachers and students (some do not need it, others interact outside the format).
So the sociality on the OFFICIAL site did not take root.
Other problems also surfaced.
The functionality of the photo gallery is not satisfactory. You need to embed videos. We need a slider on the main page, etc.
So ... is it worth moving out and if moving out, where to?
And if moving, how to organize the import-export of data?

PS. I even foresee approximate answers, but I would like to hear the opinion of the community.

Most likely I’ll pick up minuses in karma, but I’ll note: you didn’t describe the task at all! Describe the task - they will advise you on an adequate CMS (or maybe you don’t need it? Frameworks rule). A well-asked question is half the answer.

Import export data - write a php (or other) script to transfer data from one database to another in the desired format. This is much easier than transferring data by hand (if you have a lot of data). There are ready-made scripts for such things, but usually they can only be found for bundles of very common CMS. For others, you will have to write yourself. It is not as difficult as it seems at first glance.
To choose the right CMS, you should define exactly what tasks it should perform and your requirements, how it should perform them. Otherwise, install the wrong thing again and you will once again think about how to do import / export. First you need to test different systems, see what you like, and then fill them with real data.

For an official site without social modules, I can advise you to try 1C-Bitrix. I remember that free software packages from 1C were brought to our school earlier, maybe you can also request Bitrix?
Another option is to try things like Joomla, WordPress.

dotcms.com/ as a platform, although it may be out of place, fujitsu is praised by everyone, they say this is their favorite cms
about export, don't worry, changes are not always for the worse. Even if your site is written in php demos, I think it will not be superfluous to look at dotcms.com/products/demo/

Instantcms - constructor. It is very surprising that you did not manage to create what you wanted. Interactions are possible both in horizontal links and in vertical ones. Between any "entities". Anyway, I use whatever. You can create content types, after, link them, rights, etc.
