How to protect a WordPress plugin from clubbing?

Commercial plugins for different CMS are now almost always in the bag. Sooner or later.
Therefore, the question is more likely to plugin developers: " How do you protect your products?" . I would like to brainstorm with those who are in the subject. Perhaps together we will be able to find a reliable solution.
If desired, the discussion can be continued in a private format.
This is not about 100% protection (which is hardly possible), but about: How to maximize the cost of removing protection? To make it more profitable to buy the original than to break.

There was a question above about templates. liked the solution. one of the css classes is sewn in unused. and indicate the attribute color:#number of the customer to whom the product was sold.
then if found in a clubbing, the client is blocked

Non-licensed product does not have updates and technical support.
And you cannot protect the plugin 100% in PHP, as in any other programming language.

I suggest you do the following, you can create a section for the warehouse on the site!
and there to offer special conditions for them...
The administration of the warehouse itself monitors the holding of pooling and will not let anyone carry out pooling for your plugin or template... they will organize the author's pooling from you, on your own terms....
