You need a plugin that will monitor the icons folder and create a sprite from the svg found there in the specified folder.

svg-spritemap-webpack-plugin . It works like crap. It creates sprites, but refuses to work with the dev server at all, after adding the image, you need to rebuild the project, then the dev server sees the changes. I didn't find any alternatives.
