WebM format does not support high definition video?

While playing online video, good quality (1366x768) WebM format (video codecs - VP8, audio - verbis) when switching to a specified playback time (via the HTMLMediaElement API, currentTime function), the video does not play, but everything works if you watch the video from the very beginning . This is on the desktop (windows 7, browser - chrome), and on mobile devices everything works with a wait of 1 minute, after which the video starts playing from the specified time (currentTime). So what's up? As a video? On MP4 (codecs XviD, DivX, H.264) everything works well.
