Web design in the West

The question is debatable, but still I'm very interested in Habr's opinion.

It is more or less clear with the Russian web design market. What about in the West? What web design studios are considered cool and famous there ? Who do the guys with fat wallets order from? Manufacturers of machines, consumer products, etc.

And in general, which web design studios from there do you personally like?

I like fi.com (not in the sense that it's the most - but it was the first one that popped up in my head).
This is a studio with two branches - in New York and Stockholm. By the way, there are also 1 or 2 natives of Russia in it.

They don't bother pulling out pixels, but do what really sells. Even if Lebedev's eyes will run out of it.

Many guys with fat (and not so) wallets keep a tame web designer on staff. It is often cheaper (unless, of course, the designer's hands are growing) than hiring a third-party office.

Now we use slsapp.com, while the service is in beta test - it is free. You can’t place it on your server, but there are many useful things.
