Moderate your appetite for wifi, because all your housemates use it, and the range is not rubber, so 20-30 Mbps is at best. There can be no guarantees of stability, unless you move to live in the taiga :) Only initial models are suitable for your budget. you might even find it with MIMO technology.

tp-link wr740n is not bad, I did not use it myself, but it works very well for the client. It seems there are custom firmware, but I never used them.
