VS Code editor. How to change the line selection command?

I just installed the VS Code editor and ran into such a problem that it is not possible to select text in the usual way.
Usually I select a trace in the following way:
I put the cursor at the beginning of the line, I hold down ctrl + shift, I put the cursor at the end of the line with the left mouse button and the entire line is selected. This works everywhere, both in the sublime text 3 editor and in any browser, but in VS Code it only works with the shift key held down, without ctrl, which is not very convenient.
