VPN type falls asleep, how to solve?

There is a configured VPN channel between two servers (1 and 2). This VPN constantly enters some kind of sleep mode until you ping from one server (1) to another (2). If you ping from the server 2 by 1, then the packets do not go through at all. After activation from 1 to 2, the channel works for some time and then if there is no traffic, after some time it ceases to be available again until the second ping from server 1.
How can I solve this problem or why does it occur. ?

Type to tell what type of VPN is and how it is configured, provide type logs and type configs.
