VPN MacOS internet connection?
Good afternoon.
When connecting to a VPN, the Internet does not work on MacOS.
As I understand it, the problem is in DNS, since Telegram, Viber work, but ping yandex.ru writes: Unknown host.
Prescribed route add -net 192.168.200.0/24 -interface utun10
192.168.200.0 - the network to which I connect via VPN.
I tried to set the network settings to 8.8.8.8 - it did not help. What could be the problem?

The problem may be in the provider, which does not allow the use of third-party DNS, so there must be encapsulation of DNS queries inside the VPN tunnel. To do this, you need to be a) sure that the VPN server uses an external DNS (in 99% of cases this happens if the VPN server is in a civilized country that does not block requests to the DNS servers of the same Google at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) , b) it is not necessary to specify external DNS inside the client, this VPN server must process DNS queries at its own, external level.
In short, you need to look at the VPN server settings.
