vpn in ubuntu in azure
Good afternoon.
There are even 2 questions.
1. Is it possible to make a vpn server in Ubuntu so that in Windows you can connect to it through the standard creation of a vpn connection, and not through the openvpn program (if vpn is done through it on ubuntu)?
2. Has anyone done this in Azure? (although I found how to set up openvpn here ). But in Windows it connects through the program, but I want built-in tools.
Thanks
PS. Available versions of Ubuntu on Azure 12.04, 12.10, 13.04

I found a wonderful open source vpn server (they also have a client) Here . And here is an approximate installation method here . Could someone post a complete installation FAQ? And then with linux it’s generally a disaster)
And this server supports almost all types of vpn. Including SSTP and other well-known ones. It would be great to see the article even!
You probably mean l2tp. I tried a bunch of guides, but azure didn't get the hang of it. I read somewhere, I don’t remember where, that there is something blocked or something is missing.
But there are smart people on Habré, I think they will help.
look towards pptpd or l2tpd/xl2tpd

I remember the terminating VPN server can be done on the platform itself, and inside you can already place a network with a bunch of virtual machines. where to go through that vpn either from your client or from the office.
Still decided to use openvpn. Everything is set up as shown here . But a question. How to connect to it? I need a settings file, but I did not find where to download it in the web interface. Prompt the receive command. I am using Ubuntu 12.10 as in the article. Thanks
