A funny thing happened: on the phone, my users proved to me for a long time that the VK site did not open, instead there was a confectionery. At first I thought about viruses and bad browser extensions or an infected router.
As it turned out, everything is much simpler: the person went not to vk.COM, but to vk.RU
Judging by the ru.centre data, the information about the domain was updated in February 2016.
Hence the question, does anyone know, VK.ru never led to VKontakte ?

vk.ru never led to Vkontaktik. He owned and now owns the vkontakte.ru domain. When two-letter domains were allowed (it was impossible before - the name had to be no shorter than 3 letters), VKontakte scored vk.com
