Visual representation of the folder structure

Colleagues,

I will be very grateful for useful advice on the following issue.

Faced with the following problem.

There is a file server where users store files. The files are stored in folders named after departments. There is no clear structure inside folders, how data is stored, new folders are created, etc. It is necessary to transfer all data to another server and unify the folder structure for each department, as well as assign access groups to them, and only up to the second nesting level.

As a first step, we want to invite department and division heads to discuss the new and the old structure. Are there any tools that allow you to visualize the existing folder structure in a tree view so that users can have a bird's eye view of what is currently happening in each folder?

The first thing that comes to my mind (if the server is Windows) is to set treesize on it

Second, if the server is linux - tree. Just don't forget to
sudo aptitude install tree

Maybe use UML diagrams? for example, to present in the required form the diagram type "deployment diagram" or "Composite / composite structure diagram". If you do not pay attention to what they are actually needed for, then they are quite convenient for presenting something in an understandable way.
Programs that I used for similar actions: Aris and Dia

When you build a new hierarchy, you can use the org chart wizard in Visio:
