VIM resets modifiable option in split screen mode, how to fix?

Good afternoon! I use VIM graphic mode on my home computer and console mode via SSH session at work. So, in the console I like to use split-screen mode, using the :vs and :sp commands and then opening the file with :E or :Ex. For several years everything was fine, but with the upgrade of Ubuntu to 12.04, a problem arose: when you turn on file browsing through : E, the modifiable variable is reset on the previous editable file from which I switched, which makes it very difficult to work.
