Friends, tell me - how to make such an abbreviation work:

:ia $homer Homer Simpson

The problem here is the $ symbol in the abbreviation name, but I do not understand how to escape it or what else can be done with it.

My " :ia $h hhhhh hhhhh" command works fine. Replaces " $h" with " hhhhh hhhhh". (I don't have anything fresher on hand)
