Reduced training time, in principle. Since according to the book you either read or analyze an example. And here, with examples, theory is poured into your ears. Plus, if the author does not just read excerpts from books, but supplements with his own words, then it is more interesting and livelier. However, both video lessons and reading books need to be backed up with practice. Without it, everything is down the drain.
*this is all my subjective opinion, because I did not learn from video lessons
I don't think there is anything more effective than simple practice. I read a lot of educational literature on various programming issues and eventually came to the conclusion that until you just start coding stupidly day and night, not a single book (or video lesson, article, whatever) will help you.
Personally, it’s easier for me to first watch a superficial video course, and then go deeper and fix it with books
The most effective book + notebook and pen. Because in the video tutorials, some of the authors are talking nonsense. Even if not nonsense, much is hushed up.
It's like comparing a book to a movie. You will only be shown the tip of the iceberg.
1) some (like me) perceive information by ear better than visual (especially in English).
2) some things are much easier to explain in dynamics.
3) the text is usually written in a technical language that requires more concentration.
You can’t cover all the subtleties with the help of videos (books are unrivaled here), but they are great for getting a quick idea of \u200b\u200ba new technology or a single topic.
