Video capture software for mac?

Please help me find a free software or utility for capturing video of live broadcasts for Mac. It is desirable, but not necessary, that the utility be able to perform simple operations with video - cut into pieces, raise the sound level, add a track.

Thanks in advance for your replies ;)

There is no universal recipe. Even programs that capture/download ( get-flash-videos , for example) usually work on something like plugins - they define a service or embed method and apply a “recipe” from those available. No recipe, no download.
Get to the point.
I would recommend installing a debug version of Flash Player and a tracer like Vizzy . Sometimes in the debug log you can find everything you need, up to the address of the rtmp stream (or streams, sound can be transmitted separately). Pulling the stream out of the flush is already half the task.
For example, in the logs on livestream.com, you can find a link to a widget, like this one: xy101fmx.api.channel.livestream.com/2.0/widgetinfo , and follow it to a link to "iPhone stream" -xy101fmx.api.channel.livestream.com/3.0/playlist.m3u8. You can try to rob such a stream directly (I won’t say how, I didn’t delve into it) or run it in QuickTime Player and rob it as a system video / sound.
I hope my advice, if it does not solve the problem, then bring it closer to its solution.

Capturing from the Internet and recording, it would probably be better with VLC. Eats any format and also writes to any desired one.
Edit - if it's simpler, then Final Cut Express (if you want cooler, then Pro) or iMovie.
