Using PostCSS on Ruby on Rails?

Who thread has experience using PostCSS on Ruby on Rails? Is it even possible to connect it there and fully use it? Nothing sensible googled. A couple of months ago I came across a discussion that while PostCSS is impossible to use on rails, only in the form of separate gems ala autoprefixer.
