Using emulator with Appium studio and IntelliJ?

I am using Appium studio to run my mobile tests from IntelliJ. On a real device, everything works and the tests pass, but when I use the IntelliJ emulator, it does not recognize it and the tests do not run.

Message I am getting:

Disconnected from the target VM, address: '127.0.0.1:64959', transport: 'socket'

Can anyone help?
