Using containers (Docker.io) for Continuous Deployment - what are the use cases?

Good afternoon.
Started getting familiar with the lightweight Docker.io virtualization container .
I haven’t looked for Use Case yet, but I feel in my gut that the thing is useful.
I'm trying to imagine how it can be adapted to build a Build Pipeline for Continuous Deployment, and how it can generally be useful on the farm to raise the infrastructure for testing distributed web applications.
Maybe someone from Habravchan will tell-posdkazhet? Links to sensible articles are also welcome. =)

This is the usual lxc, on Habré something comes across periodically, read in that direction.
