User feeds - what technologies to choose for this?

Hello!

There is a need to make an activity feed (as in VK, FB or IG) so that subscribers see in chronological order the actions of those they subscribe to.

I look towards rethinkdb with their .change method. But maybe there are other options?

Please advise if anyone has done this before.
