Use Asus Backtracker if windows won't boot?

Asus x550c laptop.
The hard drive does not boot.
Error: Select proper boot device ...
Partition recovery (20GB) is visible through acronis.
According to official Asus Backtracker instructions need to be run under working windows.
Can Asus Backtracker be used in this situation? boot disk?
