There are 2 fundamentally different modes of operation of these usb modems: stick and hilink
In one of them, the modem is a completely independent device, in fact a router.
In the other - a modem that is controlled through a virtual com port.
Accordingly, you need to reflash your modem from hilink to stick if you want to control it directly from the router with commands. But there is no point in this, there are pitfalls.
