UPwork - what are the changes compared to oDesk?
What changes have you noticed on UPwork other than the (controversial) design of course? The messaging system has become better - it used to be something like mail, now it looks more like a chat, especially on a mobile application.
Something else has changed, haven't you noticed?

Just upgraded to new realities and that's it. In fact, only a new design and interface of services.
Now there is no prepayment for a fixed price, instead of milestones and it seems like escrow from the side of Odessa.
I had an assumption that they made a rebranding in order to at least somehow get rid of the past image of the site, on which there are only Indians. Recently they introduced contacts, added a top rated bun, everything to separate the completely Indian from the able people. Well, on this we decided to change the name, logo, design, in order to say to potential customers: we have changed, now look at us what kind of professionals live, they will instantly do what you need.
Why controversial? Everything seems to be cool. Let's hope it works fine.
Judging by the blog (it turns out that Odessa had a blog), the new site will be rolled out in parts. A new Team Room is on the way - something like Basecamp, I guess.
I don’t remember, sclerosis, was there a tab upwork.com/my-stats? It turns out that my profile is looked at as often as others, and hired much more often. Probably tongue-tied?
And even in the old messages there seemed to be the client's time zone, now there is none. And there is no exact time of the message, only dates.
And now you can set the status "Ready to work right now, right now"
And well, their director has changed, something tells me that this new broom swept in a new way. Ambition is probably the way it is.
Now it is inconvenient to use the job search, after clicking on the link, it does not change color and now it is not clear whether you have looked at this job or not...
It seems that everything is the same as before, the messaging system remained the same as it was a chat, there was no naive application before, but in general the functionality is like that of a mobile site, one big plus in the application is separate notifications about messages on the phone
