Upnp server from HP T5325 thin client on 512MB internal memory?

Device characteristics:
- RAM 512MB DDR2.
- Flash memory 512MB.
in the article https://habrahabr.ru/post/260631/ install Debian on the HDD.
Is it possible to install Linux with Upnp support in internal memory (512MB) and is it enough for a console server without a graphical interface.
or, for example, from a regular flash drive, there should still be no write cycles with a configured system (or is it not?)
Distribution of content will be from a connected 2.5 "hard drive.

You can put some kind of slack, fryahu, or openbsd, I doubt that debian will fit, because even under raspberry it is 2GB
