Update to 2012R2 from 2012 without data loss
Hello.
Actually a subject.
I know about compatibility check utilities and so on, but because R2 is a separate paid application, I'm worried that it will be stand-alone, which will wipe out all the installed applications in a lot of applications.
How can you safely "upgrade" so that nothing is broken (other than something that is not physically compatible with R2)?

If you decide to upgrade from 2012 to 2012R2 - keep in mind that the system will be zero! No updates! And if you put it, your time zone will shift. It's all about Russia.
In the future, of course, they will fix it, but for today, think about the fact that your time will immediately run away for an hour, and if you update the domain controller, there may be glitches. Until of course updates do not roll
