"Unsubscribe" link

How to properly unsubscribe? If I add a link to the end of the letter, then can search engines open the page for the purpose of indexing (for example, if the letter is sent to gmail or yandex)? Is it possible to unsubscribe a user immediately after the transition without additional confirmation?

Search engines should not index emails.
You can unsubscribe the user immediately, but it is not necessary. I believe that the user should confirm such actions. Most services offer two options:
1) go to your personal profile -> set up alerts
2) go to a page with a long hash tag where your email and the "unsubscribe" button are indicated in the input field.
Moreover, the first option is used by very popular services and social networks.

It's good practice to change the server state by POST, not by GET. So the link I would like most of all is the button “Yes, exactly unsubscribe [email protected] from the mailing list”.

We recommend unsubscribing on the subscription page without confirmation, but adding an "I changed my mind, subscribe me back" button. This allows the user to avoid unnecessary gestures, but will give him the opportunity to correct the situation if the link was clicked by mistake.

See how it is implemented by others, such as unisender.

Maybe immediately unsubscribe, and on the page that opens, place the button "Cancel and return everything back"? +100 respect with this approach. I am sure 99.9% if this link is clicked, then they want to unsubscribe.
Why be so pushy I don't understand?
