University education in IT specialty??
Hello. As you know, D-Day is approaching for all schoolchildren like me, exams begin and feverish surfing of the websites of various universities begins in search of suitable faculties / departments.
I really need advice on training in the IT field. In theory, I plan to take ~ 200 points in the Unified State Examination (Russian + Mathematics and Physical / ICT)
In my city (Rostov-on-Don) there are several large state institutions that teach this specialty, there are many different faculties and departments related to computer science. Now more "soul lies" to SFU.
I am very concerned about the importance of choosing a particular department and the difference between all these departments with the prefix "Info".
I heard somewhere that IT specialists are best trained in Software Engineering. What can you say about this?
I also heard about the so-called Innovation , what are my prospects for admission there?
In general, with pleasure I will listen to any of your advice, I will absorb any information on this matter. In advance, I say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who responds.

Doesn't matter, IMHO.
In general, it's time to end with the myth "university will teach." The only thing that a university can theoretically teach is to search and learn on your own.
So if there is a desire to cook in IT, you need to go to almost any state university, listen to the program in matan and other algebras and do IT.
For good and elite departments, D-Day comes with the completion of 9th grade. For the remaining 3-4 months, you are threatened with some average for the "lucky". The market is a capricious thing. On one "suddenly wanted" to leave difficult.
I want to answer right now.
You should go to programmers if you are interested. Show me your programs?
If they are not there, then the university will not instill interest in you, and having received a blue book with 2 folded pieces of paper inside (you simply have no chance of getting a red one with such an exam), you will not work as a programmer in the future.
I know one person with a specialty "innovation" - there is nothing even close to IT.
One name "innovation" suggests that this is another fraud on the part of the university to attract fools.
Go to UFU. Everything will be nishtyak, software engineering is a good specialty. With such an education, then you can always become the beginning. department in a programming office or the like.
200+ is a good result - I myself gave the same amount (211) and friends (217), I entered MESI - the Moscow University of Economics of Statistics, Informatics, my friends also entered wherever they wanted.
Those who say that it’s not enough apparently never passed the exam themselves.
