Ubuntu won't load jdk, why?

When I type sudo apt-get purge openjdk-* it says at the end
"There were errors processing the following packages:
python-cairo
python-gobject-2
python-gtk2
gimp
virtualbox
virtualbox-qt
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)"
What's wrong.? I noticed that in some programs the same thing happens!

Most likely because these packages require OpenJDK to work, but I'm not sure exactly.

Don't use * when installing and uninstalling -- remove packages separately
purge - removes a package if necessary
