Ubuntu PC freezes when running emulator in android studio?

Guys help me solve the problem (
I decided to start learning java and I need everything to work.
Ubuntu 16.04 64bit I launch
android studio with the project, click on the start of the project and select the device, after that a window pops up with the emulator, a black display with the inscription Android. I waited half an hour, came up to the computer, and it hung with me, the current mouse moves)
Where to dig? Has anyone else come across this before?
