Ubuntu 18.04 It is necessary to almost completely remove the GUI from the processes but run the application on the display with open CV rendering. question how?

Good afternoon,

There is a need to save 1.5-1.8 gigabytes of RAM on the GUI, which is not needed in its full form. you need to display only one window in which graphs are drawn according to the data or a picture from the camera with the definition of the object. But it's not clear how to run this purely in the terminal. For this question, how to run a program window without a full-fledged KDE?
I use the image from the manufacturer. So, completely rebuilding the system image and throwing out a bunch of packages from there is a disaster.

Well, I see several options here.
1. Why do you need Kubuntu? According to KDE, you have it. To do this, the usual openbox-type WM is enough - you install the minimum ubuntu (server, for example) and roll Xs, openbox and everything you need there.
2. Use a ready-made distribution kit in kiosk mode - for example, Porteus Kiosk .
And so you seem to be starting from the wrong end - you are trying to pull out the excess from the monster instead of rolling the right one to the minimum.

@Drno

put debian \ ubuntu minimal server
roll any minimalistic slave table in a minimal installation, the same openbox has already been said. well, or xfce \ lxde
launch your window

KDE does NOT eat up that many resources. browser only.
