Ubuntu 16.04 freezes on startup?
Installed two OS, first Win10, then Ubuntu. For a month I mainly used Windows, and for the last week and a half I didn’t run Ubuntu at all, and as it turned out today, it doesn’t start, it just displays a blank screen immediately after choosing the OS.
In the recovery of the latest version of the kernel, everything ends with an end trace and a hang, on the previous version, not much was possible: I only tried to reinstall GRUB, but this did not work either. Just like Repair Grup via LiveCD.
Bottom line: Ubuntu freezes at the beginning of the boot, and there is a possibility that this was affected by the Win10 updates.
Has anyone experienced this and how to solve the problem?
P.S. I thought that I could easily boot onto Ubuntu as an OS for development or a backup, but that was not the case!
