Ubuntu 10.04 and hp1020?
Hi all. Nerves are on edge. The third day I struggle with this brainchild. After a clean install of ubuntu, the printer picked itself up and printed with a slight delay. Then he just stopped typing. And then it began! At first I tried to fix everything through hplip out of the box - the effect is zero, then I tried to install a fresh one, but an error occurred. Removed everything, installed packages out of the box, installed via CUPS with foo2zjs firewood and lo and behold! Prints instantly. This morning I turn on the computer and again. I'm trying to reinstall like yesterday, but the effect is zero. What to do with it, I no longer know which way to dig.

It is possible that your printer is being suspended. This happened to me regularly on 1102. Go to CUPS at /printers/%printername% and select "resume printer" from the "maintenance" dropdown. I can remember the command if necessary
