Two identical online stores on different domains

Good afternoon!
Colleagues, I ask for help in the following problem.
There is an online store website that has been operating for about a year and has good performance with the PS in its region (Tver).
The customer decided to create a second site for the whole of Russia (the company is expanding).

Products, categories, and therefore descriptions for them, in stores will be completely identical.

The question arises, how will the PS react to 2 identical sites? How not to get banned?
I understand that the best solution is a unique text on 2 sites. But there are a lot of goods and it is expensive. The customer is not ready to spend that kind of money.
Is it possible to somehow “explain” the PS that these 2 sites are of the same company and one works only in 1 region (regionality is set), and the second in all the others?

And what's the point of making a second site at all? Why not use the first one for all of Russia?

Well, no one will ban, just the positions in search engines of the second site will be much lower, because. he is a copy.

the website www.shop.region.ru was added www.shop.ru. Make one (global) the main one, write the second as a mirror (see below). We brand global. On the global, we make a link to the regional and vice versa.
robots.txt dock by yadnex ,
googl search bar

I see only 3 options:
1. Convince the client that he is wrong (the right way out). What if there are 2 identical sites - the first one can very likely fall in the same search. And working on one site is more convenient and cheaper.
2. Convince to pay uniq. content, details, contacts should also be different on the site.
3. Register the second site as a mirror or close it from indexing altogether. Let's use it in contextual advertising or in the market.
With this option, you remain in full flight with the advancement in Russia - because. it will be difficult to promote a Tver site to other regions (even to Moscow), and even if it works out, the conversion will be minimal. The second site is not subject to promotion ...

From the experience of a colleague: they made 2 sites on a different domain, a complete copy, then a third, a fourth, indexed them in full, except that they didn’t buy links in large numbers, which is interesting - the sites got into the TOP for other keys, differed from the first, after that, everything was merged (redirect, robots, etc.) to the first domain, as a result, the first one acquired additional keys in the TOP. I don’t know how this work works , I don’t dare to set up such experiments myself.

Hmm, guys. Something you are here at all. In general, look, I will write down the points:
1. If you make a complete copy of the site, it can be pessimized up to the ACS. This is how bad people from the chat "knock down" competitors.
2. I don't understand why it's so difficult to create unique descriptions for products on a new store.
The cheapest and most effective solution is to add a site to the YaK and get a binding to 6 regions. As an effect - the growth of birds, a small target traffic (although it is unlikely here), links from sites of the same section work more efficiently (this is if you move through GGL or Sapa), a large coverage of regions for promotion.

Yandex has a clear distribution by region. Make other contacts for the second site with schema.org markup. In the webmaster, make a regional binding for both sites. And everything will be alright.
And the same content of product descriptions is quite natural for online stores.

Good afternoon!
We are the owners of the site on the trading platform. The site exists for 2 years, 1500 products, but it never breaks into the TOP (we receive orders only with Google advertising) + the trading platform itself becomes impudent and starts to "rip off" more money from month to month. Therefore, we would like to try to create a stand-alone site, independent of anyone.
Question: is it possible to duplicate your site with the same content, in the domain the difference in the name is 1 letter. How will the search engine react to this?
Or how to do it right so as not to lose an already well-known brand?
