How did you turn it off? I have never seen such an option. This is a useless function. Maybe just displayed the image as if on an external screen? If so, then press this button again - everything will return.

Steps:
1. Turn off your HP notebook if it is on and close the lid. Disconnect any cables and accessories that came with your laptop. Including wired or wireless external keyboard and mouse, external hard drives, flash drives and SecureDigital cards. Disconnect the laptop power adapter and turn the computer upside down.
2. Remove your laptop battery. The battery pack contains a latch to move into the locked and unlocked position. Slide the latch to the "Unlock" position and remove the battery.
3. Press and hold the HP notebook's power button for 15 seconds, then release the button.
4. Plug in your laptop's power adapter.
5. Press your laptop's power button to turn on the computer when the battery is not yet installed. The laptop starts to boot up and the status light on the front panel lights up. The HP and Windows splash screens appear and the Windows operating system starts loading. Your HP laptop is reset after viewing the Windows desktop.
6. Click "Start" and "Shutdown" to turn off the laptop after showing the desktop. Reinstall your laptop battery after the shutdown process is complete, then return your HP laptop to use your computer.
