Turn on/off the server via arduino. Maybe?
There is a home server on Ubuntu. For a few years, I've been playing non-stop. Now I only need a few times a day. It is necessary to organize remote (on LAN) its inclusion/shutdown.
First I came across this bug. But I didn't like the price.
I know that you can do something similar with Arduino. But since I've never dealt with this thing, where do I start?

Not a duinka - you want over the network, optimally over Wi-Fi, which means with the purchase of the cheapest ESP8266, a relay module, and a power circuit (5 volt power supply unit). Coding itself is mastered in a couple of hours, and more is not needed in your task. ESP is coded from the same ArduinoIDE as any Arduino.
